Here’s a list of my top 10 favorite travel gifts for the globetrotters in your life:
1. Year of Yes: How to Dance It Out, Stand In the Sun and Be Your Own Person
I first read this book when was in Bali. At that point, I had been traveling for almost three months and the message throughout the book couldn’t have been more accurate. This book is all about how Shonda Rhimes started saying ‘yes’ to more opportunities and how drastically her life transformed. If you’re needing a little inspiration as we approach the new year or you’re thinking of making 2019 your year of yes, check out this book! FIND IT HERE
2. You Are a Badass at Making Money: Master the Mindset of Wealth
This book is great for anyone, but especially those of you who love to travel. When your wanderlust sets in you’ll be wanting to travel all the time. This was me for sure! You Are A Badass At Making Money, gives you real-life examples of people who went after their wildest dreams and are now living their dream lifestyle and making money doing so. It’s a great reminder that anything is possible, even traveling around the world for a year (or longer). FIND IT HERE
3. HHG-01 3 Axis Brushless Motorized Handheld Gimbal Stabilizer
If you’re planning to document your trip (which I’m pretty sure you’ll want to. It’s 2018! Do it for the ‘gram! lol) You’ll want to get a Gimbal so that your shots are steady. When I just use my cell phone without mounting it on anything, the videos always come out a bit shaky. I used one of these for the first time when I worked in news. It’s simple to set up and you can mount your smartphone or a small camera on it and start shooting. The best part about it is that it makes the shot look more professional and steady. FIND IT HERE
4. Moshi Mythro Air Bluetooth in-Ear Earbuds
These are one my favorite earbuds and I love that they’re super affordable. Not only do they stay in your ears, a lot of my other earbuds often fall out, but the sound quality is amazing and they’re perfect for blocking out sounds on those dreaded long flights. FIND IT HERE
5. Miamica Travel Laundry Bag
Travel Laundry bags are great. I didn’t know I needed it until I received a set as a gift a couple of years ago and now I pack them every time I travel. I really love to use them when I’m traveling to a beach. It helps me keep my wet clothes separate from everything else in my bag. FIND IT HERE
6. Eccolo World Traveler Luggage Tags, Box Set of 3
A friend of mine got a set of these for me for Christmas one year and they’ve made searching for my luggage so much easier. I, like most people, have a small black bag that I travel with and sometimes it can be challenging to find it as it’s going around the carousel. The luggage tags were a game changer and have it made it a lot easier to find my bag. FIND IT HERE
7. Personalized Leather Passport Holder Cover
Protecting your passport should be your number one priority since it’s the most important document you’ll be traveling with. They can be easily damaged. Having a passport holder cover will keep it safe and you can even personalize this particular one. FIND IT HERE
8. Unidapt Universal Travel Power Adapter
If you plan on traveling around the world, you’ll definitely need a universal power adapter so that you can plug in your electronics anywhere. FIND IT HERE
9. Anker External Battery Pack
These are life changing! If your phone is anything like mine, it constantly dies when I’m out and about..which can be frustrating to deal with when you’re exploring unfamiliar territory and relying on your phone for directions. I had a chance to use one of these when I was on a recent trip to NYC and forgot to bring my phone charger with me. With the external battery packs, I love that you don’t have to carry around a wall charger and ask to plug it in. You can plug your phone right into the pack. It’s super easy and you don’t have to bug the barista at Starbucks asking for a wall charger. 🙂 FIND IT HERE
10. Gonex Packing Cubes
The packing cubes allow for more space in your bag and they help keep everything organized. If you’re like me or shopping for someone who loves to overpack, these will definitely come in handy. FIND IT HERE
